Car accident in Abu Dhabi: what to do next, step by step
An accident is stressful, even a small one. This guide covers what to do at the scene, the paperwork you need, and how the repair works when your insurance company pays.
At the scene
- Check that everyone is safe. If anyone is hurt, call 999 straight away.
- If the cars can move and the road is busy, move them somewhere safe.
- Take photos of both cars, the damage and the area around them.
- Note the other driver's details and their insurance company.
Get the accident report from Saaed
Your insurance company needs the accident report before it can approve a claim. Get the report from Saaed and keep the report number: it is the first thing the insurer and the workshop will ask for.
Choosing a workshop for the repair
You can bring the car to a workshop that works with your insurance company. M19 works with Arabia Insurance Cooperative (AICC), Methaq Takaful, Dubai Insurance, Dubai National Insurance, Al Ain Ahlia and Al Sagr National Insurance. If your insurer is not on the list, call us and we will check.
